Family Dentist ~ Children Friendly

Our Toronto Dental office is a Family Dentist practice, please feel free to bring along your children to get them use to the Dentist. It is important that children have their first dental visit by the age of one. Although a cleaning is not done at this time Dr.Bernstein can look at the health of your child's gums. Tooth decay can have permanent damage to the gums so it is essential that any problems are discovered early. Our trained staff make a visit to the dentist a fun one. After your child takes a ride in the chair, they can sit back and watch cartoons while the Hygienist clean their teeth. The Hygienist also explains "sugar bugs" and shows your child where they are "hiding" on their teeth by putting a vegetable based dye on their teeth which sticks to the plaque. The Hygienist then explains the best techniques to brush their teeth so that they get all the "sugar bugs". Children leave with a toy and a toothbrush and a smile on their face too!
